Dawn Cason Music provides freedom and flexibility...

Searching around the Louisville, Kentucky area, you'll find there are many private music teachers offering lessons in many different instruments, teaching in various venues.  I am proud to say that Dawn Cason Music is a private home studio.  Hosting lessons out of my home affords me much freedom and flexibility in scheduling, choice of curriculum, and teaching style.  In turn, this allows me to provide a personalized experience for my students.  Each of my students is more than a number or a name on a roster.  I get to know my students and appreciate their unique personalities, challenges, and triumphs.  I invest in my students and their musical as well as personal growth and success starting in our FREE Discovery Session. 

Students need results...
Simply, as a small business owner, I'm not successful unless my students are successful, and the definition of success is different for every student. I am happy to say that I choose to teach and work hard to meet the needs of my students whether they are in preschool, high school, or somewhere in between. 

The way music lessons should be...
I believe learning should be fun, so we play games to reinforce musical concepts. We play card games, board games, and games on the iPad. Students are having so much fun that they don't even realize they are learning important musical concepts.   

I believe in relationships, so my students and I talk about the important things going on in their lives, enabling me to gain an understanding of each student's needs and expectations.  

I believe in fairness which means I understand that life happens, and you may need to reschedule your music lessons from time to time. 

I believe my clients should know up front the type of financial commitment they're making, so tuition is an all-inclusive, flat monthly rate. 

I believe in music and I believe the study and performance of music builds many life skills, including responsibility, determination, goal setting, mental focus, creativity, self-confidence, and composure in front of an audience. I understand that most of my students will not pursue music as a career choice, and that's fine with me. These skills are needed throughout life, and the study of music enriches students' lives and prepares them for success in school, work, and relationships.
